Shohei Hashimoto has been a leader in social media marketing at the frontline of digital communications for over a decade.
Prior to Edelman, he was the Japan lead for Twitter Next, a strategic and creative consulting team that focuses on human-centric ideas worth talking about. There, he collaborated with top advertisers and agencies until he joined Twitter Japan as a Brand Strategist in July 2014.
Shohei started his career in Hakuhodo, a global Japanese advertising and public relations firm, as a Strategic Planner working on various verticals. During his tenure, he also worked at AKQA in San Francisco and TBWA\HAKUHODO in Tokyo, blurring the lines of traditional and digital marketing.
With a planner's background, he is most passionate about communications that solve real-world problems. He has a soft spot for great case studies and is an avid follower of award shows like Cannes Lions. He’s a fan of brands that push the boundaries to build trust.
