Hirokazu Kawabata, born on January 23, 1957, in Osaka, Japan, is a pioneering entrepreneur in the self storage industry. In 1991, he founded Rise Co., Ltd. and was appointed as its Representative Director. In 1996, he joined Tokyo Rise Co., Ltd. as a Director, and in 2013, he was appointed as its Representative Director. Under his leadership, the company rebranded as Root StorHub Co., Ltd., focusing on the "Rise Box" brand to offer rental storage spaces primarily in the Kanto and Kansai regions. Emphasizing effective land utilization, the company collaborates with landowners to introduce storage solutions as viable business ventures. In 2022, the brand in the Kanto region transitioned to "Root StorHub," now operating approximately 360 locations with around 20,000 units across the Kanto and Chubu areas.
